EuroBLECH 2026: The International Trade Fair for Sheet Metal Processing
EuroBLECH is one of the world’s leading trade shows for sheet metal processing technology and takes place every two years in Hanover. In 2026, it will open its doors for the 28th time, bringing together international machine manufacturers, technology providers, and trade visitors from the metalworking industry.
As a specialized trade show, EuroBLECH covers the entire sheet metal processing chain: from material supply through cutting and forming to joining, welding, and testing of finished components. Under the theme „Toward a Stronger Future—Smart and Sustainable Production,“ the 2026 edition will place a special focus on automation, robotics, digitalization, and resource efficiency.

TubeAlliance: Experience Automated Tube Manufacturing Live for the First Time
The centerpiece of our 2026 trade show presentation is the TubeAlliance, which Schnelldorfer Maschinenbau developed in collaboration with Peter Prinzing GmbH. The system combines tube forming, automated workpiece handling, and longitudinal seam welding into a continuous production line.
Three key components work together to achieve this:
- RBA 60/53: The CNC-controlled automatic round bending machine with 4-roll technology precisely shapes sheet metal into cylindrical workpieces and ensures high roundness and repeatability.
- Yaskawa GP 25 Robot: The industrial robot handles the automated material handling and positions the formed workpieces for the subsequent welding process.
- LINEARWELD XA: Schnelldorfer's precision welding technology joins the formed sheets along their longitudinal seam to form a welded tube.
The individual stations work together in what is known as a “one-piece flow.” This means that the workpieces are guided sequentially through the individual processing steps without having to be manually moved between each process. In this way, a flat sheet of metal is seamlessly transformed into a fully welded tube.
Depending on the configuration, the TubeAlliance can process steel, stainless steel, galvanized steel, and aluminum. The machine can also handle a variety of tube diameters, wall thicknesses, and welding processes.
These Are the Benefits of Automated Pipe Manufacturing
In automated tube manufacturing, it is not just the speed of the individual machines that matters—what is far more crucial is how well the processing steps are coordinated with one another. For example, if workpieces have to be repeatedly transported by hand, re-clamped, and realigned between forming and welding, this results in additional downtime and potential sources of error. This is eliminated in automated tube manufacturing. TubeAlliance reduces these manual interventions through automated material flow, making the machining process significantly smoother and faster.
The Benefits at a Glance
- High Productivity: According to the manufacturer, cycle times of less than 1.5 minutes are possible.
- Consistent quality: CNC-controlled movements and repeatable welding processes ensure consistent manufacturing conditions.
- Short setup times: The HMI-controlled changeover enables quick product changes with minimal setup effort.
- Less manual work: Automated robotic handling transports the workpieces between the machining stations.
- Flexible Expansion: Additional processes such as beading, flanging, or crimping can be integrated into the system.
- Adaptation to Different Manufacturing Requirements: Robots, grippers, material feeding, and machining processes can be flexibly adapted to the specific components.
Precision Welding Technology from Schnelldorfer Maschinenbau
For decades, Schnelldorfer Maschinenbau has been developing and manufacturing automated welding machines and custom solutions for industrial applications. Our areas of expertise include longitudinal, fillet, and circumferential welding on sheet metal, pipes, tanks, and other metal components.
The welding technique used always depends on the workpiece: Depending on the material, wall thickness, and desired weld quality, we use MIG/MAG, TIG, plasma, or laser welding. With the LINEARWELD XA, we’ll be demonstrating at EuroBLECH how precise longitudinal seam welding can be integrated into an automated production line. Workpiece clamping, torch guidance, and welding parameters are coordinated in such a way that uniform and reproducible weld seams are produced.
That’s exactly why it’s worth getting to know our welding technology firsthand on-site. During the live demonstration, you can follow each step of the process and get a firsthand look at the weld quality and repeatability on actual components. At the same time, our experts are available to provide you with personalized advice. Together, we’ll discuss which welding machine is best suited to your materials, batch sizes, and weld geometries, and how your production can be further optimized through appropriate automation solutions and the right fixture design. This covers the entire welding process, ranging from secure workpiece clamping to precise seam guidance.
Our experts are here to help you.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
Why is it worth visiting the Schnelldorfer booth?
Between the data sheet and EuroBLECH lies the machine in operation. At the Schnelldorfer booth, trade visitors can see how a seam is formed in real time and compare workpieces, material thicknesses, and cycle times directly with their own requirements. Look forward to:
- Live welding demonstrations on actual components that showcase the weld pattern and repeatability under production conditions—not just in a brochure.
- Personalized consultation to help you determine which machine is best suited for your batch sizes, materials, and seam geometries.
- Automation and fixture design that can be discussed on-site, from workpiece clamping to seam guidance.
- A demonstration of TubeAlliance during operation
How do you schedule an appointment at EuroBLECH 2026?
Trade show days are tightly scheduled, and the most productive conversations rarely happen spontaneously between two halls. By booking an appointment at the Schnelldorfer booth in advance, you’ll ensure you have enough time for a detailed needs assessment. We therefore recommend that you schedule your preferred appointment before the trade show using the Schnelldorfer contact form. We look forward to seeing you there.
For which industries does Schnelldorfer manufacture its welding machines?
Five industrial sectors form the core of Schnelldorfer’s business, each with its own components and weld requirements. What they have in common is the thin-walled workpiece, which requires a leak-tight, low-distortion joint. Five target industries shape the machine design, ranging from straight pipe seams to leak-tight welded tanks:
- Pipe Construction: Longitudinal seams on pipes and profiles that must be leak-tight and dimensionally stable along their entire length.
- Tank Construction: Circular and longitudinal seams on tanks and containers where leak-tightness under pressure is the key requirement.
- Equipment Manufacturing: Corner seams and perimeter seams on housings and frames, often with visible seams in a stainless steel finish.
- Mechanical Engineering: Assemblies and frames in which dimensional accuracy and repeatability are determined by the fit.
- Sheet Metal Fabrication: Blanks and edge parts that are assembled into airtight, dimensionally stable assemblies.
