What is a longitudinal seam welding machine used for?

A longitudinal seam welding machine creates straight seams along the longitudinal axis of sheet metal, pipes or profiles. Unlike the circumferential seam, where the workpiece rotates, or the corner seam, where two surfaces are joined at an angle to each other, the longitudinal seam creates a continuous welded joint along a straight line. This technique is therefore used wherever elongated components need to be joined securely and permanently. Intelligent control meets efficient cooling
